Day 01. Sunday, 25 September 2011 : Saigon arrival (/-/-/-/)
Pick up at arrival at 16.00, transfer to hotel for check in and relax. O/N in Saigon
 

Day 02. Monday, 26 September 2011 : Tay Ninh - Cu Chi Day Trip (/-/L/-/)
The trip to Tay Ninh is combined with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the American war must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!) For those interested there's even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range. In the morning we drive to Tay Ninh to observe the midday service then to Cu Chi Tunnels. Following lunch, we visit, we will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, arrive Ho Chi Minh late afternoon. Day 03. Tuesday, 27 September 2011 : City Tour (/-/L/-/)
On the morning, we start our tour at 8.00 AM to visit: Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. At approximately 1 p.m we shall take lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon: Giac Lam Pagoda, Cho Lon & Thien Hau Pagoda. Ben Thanh Market: This bustling market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais. O/N in Saigon.
 

Day 04. Wednesday, 28 September 2011 : Saigon - Ben Tre - Can Tho (/-/L/-/)
The morning pick up from your hotel in Saigon at 8:00 AM, transfer to Ben Tre province. On arrival in Hung Vuong Pier take a boat on Ben Tre river – one of tributaries of Mekong river, sight-seeing lively activities along river. Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style. Visite one of plenty of coconut processing worshops located along canal. Continue on canals spreading into village. Take a short walk to family workshop making sleepmats and enjoying some fruits and tea.
Take a motor cart (xe lôi) or cycle riding under tree shades, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on realy life and find out about tropical culture from Peasants. Lunch at “Green Coconut” riverside house. Afternoon, take rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung Vuong Pier. Transfer to Can Tho where we spend our night. O/N in Can Tho.
 

Day 05. Thursday, 29 September 2011 : Can Tho - Cai Be (/-/L/D)
In the morning, we leave the hotel, board a motor boat along the Mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market, the largest of its kind, where a colorful display of boats carrying juicy fruits and vegetables gather for daily exchanging. Then we continue the cruise & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Boarding the Bassac at noon. Welcome drink. Introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins.
Departure downstream of the Hau river. Lunch on board while en route. Tour near Tra On Floating Market. Branching into Mang Thit River towards Co Chien River. Rest on the upper deck or enjoy the open bar in a scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, woods on the near banks. Visit of a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby. Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Open bar and rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river towards her anchorage point for the night. The Bassac sets anchor for the night on river Mang Thit. O/N on boat.


Day 06. Friday, 30 September 2011 : Cai Be - Saigon - Da Lat (B/-/-/)
06:30 Departure towards Cai Be. The passengers take their breakfast while enjoying the scenery on the banks. The Bassac crosses Co Chien river then branches into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Arrival in Cai Be, check-out and boarding of a local boat for a tour of Cai Be Floating Market and handicraft. Drive back Saigon. Arrive back Ho Chi Minh in the afternoon. Transfer to airport to take a short flight to Da Lat. Pick up at arrival by our local English Speaking Guide, transfer to hotel for your rest. O/N in Da Lat.
 

Day 07. Saturday, 1 October 2011 : Da Lat City Tour (/-/L/-/)
In the morning, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel to start a full day of sightseeing in and around Da Lat. Take a cable car ride to Tuyen Lam Lake. Visit the summer residence of Bao Dai, Vietnam’s last emperor, the fascinating Crazy House, the cathedrals and convents that populate this former French retreat. Da Lat’s temperate climate makes it ideal for vegetable and flower cultivation, and the tour includes a visit to the Da Lat Market and the Da Lat Flower Garden to see a variety of orchid species. End the day by taking a horse-drawn cart around Xuan Huong Lake and seeing the old steam engines of the Da Lat Cremaillere Railway. O/N in Da Lat.

 

Day 08. Sunday, 2 October 2011 : Da Lat - Nha Trang (/-/-/-/)
In the morning, free to visit the colourful Da Lat Market to see the variety of flowers, vegetables, and fruits available in Da Lat’s temperate climate. Then, take a scenic drive downhill to Nha Trang (140km). On arrival, check in hotel. In the afternoon, free at leisure to relax on the beach of Nha Trang. O/N in Nha Trang.
 

Day 09. Monday, 3 October 2011 : Nha Trang Cruise (/-/L/-/)
A local English Speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel & accompany you for the cruise on Nha Trang Bay. Start from your hotel to Cau Da port. Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island is the first place to visit, many sea species of Nha Trang/Khanh Hoa province make a small ocean world there. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. You will also be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest. Then relaxing, swimming & doing water sports or other activities at Mot Island, Tranh Beach Island or on a small island calling “Mini beach”. Taking a fresh lunch at the island. On the way back you will visit a fishing village before going to the shore. O/N in Nha Trang. 


Day 10. Tuesday, 4 October 2011 : Nha Trang - Da Nang - Hoi An (/-/-/-/)
Pick up at early morning (NO GUIDE), transfer to Cam Ranh airport where you take an hour flight to Da Nang. Pick up at arrival in Da Nang (Spanish Speaking Guide), transfer to hotel in Hoi An and enjoy your free time on the beach. O/N in Hoi An.
 

Day 11. Wednesday, 5 October 2011 : My Son - Hoi An Day Trip (/-/L/-/)
Hoi An is a small town in Central Vietnam famous for its wooden houses, family chapels, Assembly Halls and for its silk shops. In the morning, take a private car from Hoi An Town to My Son Holy Land, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries was built from the 7 to 13 centuries. Back to Hoi An for lunch. After the relax, it is light excursion to go around tiny town of Hoi An for city tour: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants' house… O/N in Hoi An. 
 

Day 12. Thursday, 6 October 2011 : Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue (/-/L/-/)
Today we departs Hoi An for Hue at 08:00 AM. The first stop is the Marble Mountain where you can visit Thuy Son also Tam Thai pagoda and Huyen Khong cave. We then have a chance to see China beach - one of the most beautiful and famous beach in Vietnam. Have lunch at local restaurant. At arrival in Hue, check-in and enjoy your free time in Hue city. O/N in Hue.
 

Day 13. Friday, 7 October 2011 : Hue City Tour (/-/L/-/)
Pick up from hotel in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City. The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. O/N in Hue.
 

Day 14. Saturday, 8 October 2011 : Hue - Hanoi City Tour - Lao Cai (/-/L/-/)
Pick up and transfer to airport to take the flight to Hanoi. Pick up at arrival, transfer to Hanoi. Visit the Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. Inside are the stone steles mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with names of Vietnam best scholars. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society place then and now on education. Lunch in Koto restaurant. In the afternoon enjoy a water puppet show.
Enjoy an hour Cyclo Tour through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally each of the 36 streets names’ was related to the products being sold there. It’s a great place to explore on foot with numerous photo opportunities. Transfer to Hanoi Railway station to take the night train from Hanoi to Lao Cai. O/N on train (Private Cabin - 2 pax/cabin).
 

Day 15. Sunday, 9 October 2011 : Lao Cai - Bac Ha Market - Sapa (B/L/-/)
Train arrives at Lao Cai Railway Station at 06.00 a.m. Pick up at arrival by our local English Speaking Guide. Have breakfast at local restaurant before the trip starts. Start early in the morning from Lao Cai station to Bac Ha Market. Arrive Bac Ha market, you will have 2 hours to discover the market with ethnic minorities. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you can have a visit to the H'mong King Palace or take a short walk to Ban Pho of the H'mong people. Drive to Sapa. O/N in Sapa.
 

Day 16. Monday, 10 October 2011 : Lao Chai - Ta Van - Trekking (/-/L/D)
At 10 a.m, we start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. After this you continue to Ta Van village to visit Zay people. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here. O/N in homestay.
 

Day 17. Tuesday, 11 October 2011 : Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan - Lao Cai (B/L/-/)
Breakfast. We continue to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colourful red embroideries and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao’ Legend. We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su Pan where you will meet the jeep transfer back to Sapa. Drive to Lao Cai to take a night train back Hanoi. O/N on train (Private cabin - 2 pax/cabin).
 

Day 18. Wednesday, 12 October 2011 : Hanoi arrival - Ninh Binh - Hanoi (B/L/-/)
The tour is split into a very early morning with pick up at arrival in Hanoi station by our Spanish Speaking Guide. Breakfast at local restaurant. Leave Hanoi and head south for a 2-hour drive along Highway One. We spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le sanctuaries and then move on to Tam Coc for a 2 hours boat trip along the Boi river. After lunch we can make a visit Bich Dong Pagodas before making our way back to Hanoi. O/N in Hanoi.
 

Day 19. Thursday, 13 October 2011 : Hanoi - Halong (/-/L/D)
08.30 - Scenic three-hour drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
12.00 - Check-in at Bhaya Café, Ha Long City. Embark on Bhaya Classic for a Welcome drink followed by a cruise briefing.
13.00 - Savor a delicious Vietnamese buffet lunch as Bhaya Classic heads to Bai Tu Long Bay passing the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, Oan Lagoon, Mat Quy (Monster Head) and Am Tich (Teapot) Islets and Vung Vieng fishing village.
15.30 - Visit the fishing village by local rowing boat (1 hour) then return to the vessel for free time at your leisure or join one of the following optional activities: Kayak into the floating village or swim near the Bhaya; Optional onboard activities: Sunbathing, traditional massage, etc…
17.00 - Bhaya Classic cruises through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Ho Dong Tien.
Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the Sundeck.
19.30 - Sumptuous set-menu seafood dinner onboard.
21.00 - Take in the movie on the Lounge Deck or retire to your cabin. Overnight onboard Bhaya Classic.

Day 20. Friday, 14 October 2011 : Ha Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay (B/L/D)
06.15 - Start your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck.
07.00 - Bhaya Classic weighs anchor to cruise the Bay. Have breakfast in the Dining Room.
08.30 - Transfer to Bhaya Spirit for the Lan Ha Bay excursion.
10.00 - Cycling on Cat Ba Island if weather permits or guided kayaking and swimming at Three Peach Beach, a pristine natural beach lapped by turquoise waters.
12.00 - Fresh seafood lunch is served onboard.
13.30 - Continue on to discover Ho Ba Ham Islet, the most remote point in Lan Ha Bay and bordering the Gulf of Tonkin. Visit its quaint fishing village and lagoon. Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel under a karst mountain (time and tides permitting).
16.00 - Return to Bhaya Classic.
17.00 - The vessel cruises back through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Ho Dong Tien. Happy Hour and Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the Sundeck.
19.30 - Sumptuous Set-menu dinner onboard.
21.00 - Take in the movie on the Lounge Deck or retire to your cabin. Overnight onboard Bhaya Classic.
 

Day 21. Saturday, 15 October 2011 : Halong - Hanoi Departure (Brunch/-/)
06.15 - 07.00 : Start your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck while complimentary tea and coffee are served.
07.00 - Bhaya Classic weighs anchor to cruise through the Bay passing beautiful spots like Trong (Drum), Trinh Nu (Virgin) and Me Cung Caves, Coc Ngoi (Toad) Islet, etc.
08.30 - Explore Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave.
09.30 - Return to Bhaya Classic. Buffet brunch is served onboard. The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbor.
11.00 - Disembark at Bhaya Café, Ha Long City. Return to Hanoi.
15.00 - Arrive in Hanoi. Free time (NO ROOM) untill 20.30 for car transfer to airport (NO GUIDE) to take your flight back home departs at 23.40.
